Control Facebook Ads Costs

How to set up Facebook Ads for cost per link click and not impressions.

No doubt you want to reach your ideal audience on Facebook with Ads, yet control the cost.

The issue is, if you’re using Facebook Ads Manager all the default settings can lead you to spending alot of money, or a least more than you would like if you just use these defaults. This is because in most cases Facebook defaults to charging you by impression, aka if someone only saw your ads, not if they clicked on them.

Compare this vs. Google who in most cases charges you only when someone clicks on your ad (pay per click). So you can imagine if thousands of people on Facebook only saw your ad but didn’t click, you could rack up alot of charges. We really in most cases only want to pay when someone is actually interested enough to click on the ad, right?

And, since Facebook makes it very difficult to set things up to control your costs, unless you set it up all just right, it can be a frustration to just get some ads fast going and control your costs. So, how do you set things up?

We’re here to help you take back control!

We’ll make it brief: If you want to control your actual bids AND only pay when someone clicks on your ads, the current setup is below. Now you can control both the fact that you only get charged when someone clicks on your ad plus you can control your actual bid.

Please leave a comment if this helped you out, thanks!
